Testing Facility

Rev-Amp Electrical Equipment is equipped with an in-house testing facility that differentiates us from other used electrical equipment wholesalers.

We are ISO 9001 certified by Intertek.

All of our used products are tested by certified technicians using state of the art technology. Detailed test reports are generated by our fully computerized testing equipment, which ensures unsurpassed quality control over each circuit breaker we sell. We follow the Canadian Standards Association requirements for molded-case circuit breakers. Testing (C22.2 No. 5-02).

Just one of the many important features of our testing facility is that it enables us to detect and eliminate defective circuit breakers.
Our testing process incorporates the following testing mechanisms:

Primary Injection Testing:

Through this testing method, Rev-Amp is capable of testing virtually any type of circuit breaker up to 2000amps by simulating over current. Detailed test reports are generated by a fully computerized testing system, which results in unequalled quality control over every single product we sell.
 

High Pot Insulation Testing:

We test insulation resistance to avoid voltage leakage. An integral megohometer measures insulation resistance up to 500,000 megohoms @ 2.5kVdc or up to 1,000,000 megohoms @ 5.0kVdc. We are also capable of measuring leakage current measurements from 0.1 to 5,000 microamps DC and from 1.0 to 5.0 milliamps AC.

 

Digital Low Resistance Testing:

We are capable of detecting low resistance levels on all closed contacts in micro-ohm scale.


Rev-Amp’s in house testing facility is calibrated yearly and we are ISO 9001:2000 registered.
